Happy Sumday Backstagers, CoGs and OTTers!
That would be A night to remember with certain scenes nicked from the 1930’s Nazi version
Wow, the quiet buildup of hobby from @avernos has been a trip to see. I look forward to seeing the entire league in a display case that will never be touched after he’s finished painting.
Good show for the week as usual and congrats to the winners of ComSpots. Hooray to the Butt Dingers! Better to be a dinger than a dangler.
Yeah I think it will be impressive once all the teams are done!
Lovely Golden Buttons. Must get back to my Egyptian Spring Clean. Currently trying to finish my Skaventide leader on beast model.
Tranmere Rovers avoided relegation with a game to spare. And now a sea of backers are crashing against the Prenton Park coastal defenses to pump cash into the ex-Championship side. As long as it’s not a corporate asset strip and watch them burn… We should do better next year.
Which reminds me … I think I backed that second edition dreadball as well ? And yeah. There is such a thing as ‘too much’ for games. Especially when there’s barely any chance to notice the stuff being released at all. And that was before The Event(stay indoors!). Dreadball Champions may just be the thing to get the ball rolling again. Pairing down the available options to something a bit more manageable and giving the teams a bit more character may be the way to go for this. Interesting times ahead that’s for sure. I kind of hope they have… Read more »

James Cameron’s Titanic? Was that the one with loads of xenomorphs running around the ship?
@avernos you may be interested to know that cavalry units, at least in the US army, had their troops organized by the color of their horses. So for instance A troop got bays, B troop got sorrels and so on. This was so that if you couldn’t see their guidons you’d be able to recognize the unit by the color of its horses. I haven’t found a specific regulation on this but I first found a reference on this in the book Cowboy’s in Uniform, about the Rough Riders (so 1898) and also in photos from the 1920s and diary… Read more »
Wasn’t there a CoC campaign set on the Mauritania? In fact wasn’t it that one with HMS Selene?
John’s guided tour of the Titanic (before and after) was fascinating, even though it got a little saucy in the Turkish baths (doesn’t it always?).
Thanks for the Golden Button @brennon. I’m glad you liked the different direction this year’s Spring Clean has gone in. This will inspire me to get the rest of the units knocked out – the Shuwa Arabs are a bit of a drag as there are 48 of them but I’m nearly done with the final unit now. How much longer do we get? You normally give us until summer solstice (21st June), is that correct?
