February 21, 2025 by brennon
It's OTTWeekender time! In this week's show, we're having a look at Terminus Frontier, a stylish new board game that might have what it takes to be a Gloomhaven killer! Mixing together ideas from the likes of XCOM and first-person shooters with a campaign-based design, it is looking like a swanky new alternative.

What is Gloomhaven? Never heard of that. XD
Gloomhaven is the new name for any country being ruled by a total imbecile.
Insert your choice of country here… there are lots to choose from.
So much awesome variety out there to tick all out hobby boxes!! Love Victrix stuff!!!
I don’t like it when things are claimed to be a [insert popular thing] killer.
Those claims rarely live up to the hype.
Why not have things that get their own niche audience instead ?
Not everything has to be super popular and crack the top 3 of most sold [things].
It has to be profitable and big enough for folks to buy and enjoy it for years to come, instead of crashing and burning because it didn’t break the top 10.
Like to win
The Fantasy Knights look great!
So if they charge is that a Teutonic movement?
I played Hordes and Warmachine in second edition and updated to 3rd, but the 4th edition 3D prints didn’t appeal.
I’m unlikely to play the steamforged version because there’s no physical copy of the rules as far as I can tell. Don’t like apps for tabletop games.
Bye folk’s
Idea… Spectre Operations… Mythos… Deliverance… Cue the banjos…
No Gerry…and no Indie of the week…oh god oh god oh god…too much…I don’t like change!
9:07 – Angron has gone trans?
41:44 – I think you guys were referring to the incredible “League of Gentlemen”.
I think Angron left his chainaxe, Gorechild, on the battlefield during the Horus Heresy in either The First Heretic or Betrayer books. I haven’t read them in years, but I think the chain blades/teeth jammed or broke. Angron left it on the ground and Kharn picked it up, intent to replace the blades. I think some of Kharn’s fellow World Eaters told Kharn not to pick it up because it was bad luck to take a weapon that a gladiator purposely left behind in the fighting pit.
I much prefer to have the news done in one segment than having it split. It feels jarring to go from news to 3D printing, then back to news again.
Oak & Iron looks like a really interesting game.
I’ve was gifted a few of Skull Forge’s files as a birthday gift. I havent had them printed yet. Need to do so.
Lotara Sarrin was a great character in the books, it’s a shame the miniature doesn’t capture her in a more menacing but contained way. That kind of deep fury running under a cold exterior was what made her interesting, I think, rather than her few explosive moments (even if those were the ones memed ad nauseam, including the one with Khârn that Justin mentioned). Also on the topic, that’s not even Gorefather. Angron never cared a bit about his weapons, named or not, and discarded both Gorefather and Gorechild after using them as tunneling equipment to free himself on Armatura,… Read more »
Squirmish looks interesting.
My pile of shame* is not short of metal Spanish Napoleonics from Perry. Does this mean I don’t lust after these (or indeed the fabled Spanish Napoleonics from Wargames Atlantic)? No, no, a thousand times no!
* yours may be a pile of opportunity, mine is nothing but shame.
Pretty sure everyone’s is a pile of shame, some are just in denial that they have a problem XD
I also think that the Victrix knights want be as bulky as the Bretonnian knights.
The models from Terminus Frontier do feel a bit like Infinity models.
Skullforge are a good shout. They are very reasonably priced compared to others and there squads are good value
I Would Love to win🍀🍀
Wow those Warmachine minis are fantastic, whats the actual game like this edition, dont think I have played since 2nd? I loved it though 🙂
Oldheads mostly say the best since 1, early 2nd; a lot of complaints about stranded armies and collections too. Gotta say, I loved the trial games I played recently but I havve no roots with this game or the history.
Now sitting down to watch
We are now watching.
Some good topics looking at the list..
I hope i win
I hope Wayland have IOSS.
