The new previews for Armoured Clash are now out in the wild from Warcradle Studios, introducing a new faction to the 10mm wargame. The Imperium are on the march with their finely drilled troops, impressive armoured fighting vehicles and towering walkers.

At the core of the new faction is another of the Battlegroup Starter Sets, which will give you plenty that you can get started with when it comes to choosing the Imperium as your faction of choice. At the head of this particular faction is another massive machine in the form of the Colossus which can be built in two different ways.

You can either go with the Sieger Virtruvian Colossus, as you can see above, or you can switch things up and build yourself a Faust Vitruvian Colossus instead. Both are towering feats of engineering, and it's great to see the Colossus design carry over from Dystopian Wars, so you can see how they look when striding high above the ground.

There is a variety of infantry options for you to choose from when it comes to the Imperium, starting with the likes of the Scion Grenadiers and the Command Platoon featured here. Big coats, fluttering banners and finely wrought armour are the name of the day.

Other, more elite and heavily armoured infantry comes in the form of the Teutonic Armiger Castellans who strike down the most fearsome of foes, protected by their squires as you can see with the miniatures below.

It's always impressive to see the different design ideas going on with Armoured Clash and the various factions. You get a real sense of how the faction fights due to their choice of arms and armour. The Imperium has a really professional feel to their force, well used to fighting disciplined battles.

Of course, it wouldn't be the Imperium without some tanks and you'll have options throughout like the Sturmpanzer Battletank.

The troops in your army will also be able to rumble forth in the protection of the Sturmwagen Transports. It's better to rumble forward with protection, especially considering the amount of absolutely deadly weapons that armies of the Dystopian Age possess.

If you want more walkers in your life, then you can also get your hands on the likes of the Lucifyr Heavy Walkers! Not quite as towering and deadly as the Vitruvian Colossus, but still able to pack a punch.

All of these miniatures and more are contained within the Battlegroup Starter Set for the Imperium. You get everything that you need to get started with plenty of infantry, artillery, tanks, transports and walkers to make sure the Imperium's war goes to plan.

As you'll note, you also get a bunch of the Modular Terrain for use when building a tabletop alongside the Rule Book and more. I know a lot of folks have been waiting for the Imperium to arrive for Armoured Clash, and now you're going to get your chance once April rolls around.

As well as the Battlegroup Starter Set, you can also get the Introductory Set which comes with a cutdown offering of Imperium miniatures for those who want a different entry point into Armoured Clash.

This set comes with a different mixture of miniatures but also the Quickstart Rules Booklet so you and a friend can pick up a couple of Introductory Sets and try your hand at Armoured Clash before diving right in.
