This time we're playing a Frostgrave 2nd Edition Versus Battle Report where Justin's Wizard and friends face off against Gerry's Discworld-inspired warband as they race to the top of The Silent Tower.
Frostgrave Books - Frostgrave Miniatures - Frostgrave Terrain
Will Ridcully The Brown take home the gold or will Justin's assassin in the guise of his Apprentice have something to say about it? Even the very terrain of Frostgrave can be an enemy to the unwary!

What would you have done differently if you were playing this game?
Really thinking about giving this game a try
Great game and a great table. I have been working on a table of my own, 3D printed terrain it is looking good so far
Merry Christmas everyone. I’m not sure how big you can make a table in TTS…
Banjo, the unsung hero of any band.
Awesome game. Need to dust off my old Frostgrave terrain. Merry Christmas.
Entertaining game. Falling thief was a little out there.
Well, I guess Banjo deserves to become the new apprentice now, doesn’t he?
This was quite interesting. Lots of twists that made for an interesting report.
Lovely game but I would have liked to have seen the reward and leveling up post game part
Completely forgot about it. I was halfway home before I remembered and left my sheet in the cage but they will get it in the future
Nice looking game. Loved the Discworld named gang, made for a very seasonal Hogfather homage. Had to laugh when Justin accused Gerry of going the whole hog, while also claiming he wasn’t a fan of Pratchett.
Good old Banjo, now to stay in keeping with the book, he’ll now have to take up residence in the tower.
A puppy is on the way
Called Spot?
darn tootin’ motherfunster
Just right for a fellah that looks like a volcano and can lift 2 men men in each fist.
By their necks!
Very nice.
Merry chirstmas all And the disc rules. Terry would be proud of his boys.
Excellent Let’s Play. I would be interested to hear what kind of treasure was found.
Great game guys. It’s always an interesting game with the Silent Tower scenario.
I’m looking forward to playing the new edition once things are back to normal.
Thanks for uploading these are so useful in learning how to play the game.
And who doesnt like discworld?!
Apparently Justin
With the damage now being based on the natural roll (plus modifiers) instead of the modified attack roll (plus modifiers) that makes armour a lot more useful and makes a lot of the dangerous monsters deal a lot less damage. This might be a good thing as previously warband members tended to perish very quickly in 1st edition. It might be too good ‘though. I think I’d need to see how it plays out over a campaign to get a feel for it.
The advancement of wizard in the unseen university is very cut throat so I am not surprised that Gerry’s warband coped so well with not casting any spells.
Better luck next time Justin.
Frostgrave seems definitely worth looking into it… Thanks for the Battle Report !
Why didn’t Gerry’s chaps outside Justin’s tower run round after his 1st treasure character. Mugging him and exiting with the loot would have been hilarious.
I didn’t think he’d forget to move him one turn so there was no way I’d reach him if he just legged it
Actually , you had the soldiers move left on the turn he jumped out of the building, and you won prio kitty on the next round so could have got him before he moved off.
Still, very generous of you to leave Justin with some scraps to pay for replacing his many lost members…
love how the terrain looks on the table. I’m going to have to get my self some of those products.
Gerry’s wind effects has to be the highlight for me. It should be a rule to act out your wizard when casting spells.
The wind spell seemed like a good plan. I like that there are combos like that.
I can’t believe after all that we don’t get to find out what the big treasure at the top of the tower was,
Brilliant, great attitude from both competitors and a fun game to watch. Thanks.
Go Justin!
