The new Soulblight will be getting me back into AOS
I do like the look of Soulblight army, the knights in particular, but I think red is the wrong colour… a bit too much…
What colour would you go with for them?
Not sure… red seems too ‘bloody’ and obvious… maybe black with some red highlights.

If you sort that pile of procrastination then that would certainly be a spring clean!
This isn’t a moan at anyone, or a dig at 40k. Just a thought on the way we discuss games highlighted by they way OTT talks about 40k.
Over the past few years I have regularly seen OTT talking about how they love 40k or how great 40k is or how they’re loving building this or that new army for 40k We get a few months of positive comments about 40k and then randomly out of the blue we get one comment like, “But we wont play with the 40k rules because they’re rubbish”. Miss one video, and you could easily think OTT thinks the 40k game is the best thing since sliced heretics when actually they seem to think the game is rubbish but like the models and the setting. You’re accidentally convincing the unknowing to buy in to a game you cannot recommend. In the past you had me thinking the game had improved and you liked it.
I think there are games like this where we need to change the way we discuss them. We need to remember to add the extra word and change, “I love 40k” in to “I love 40k lore”, “I love the 40k setting”, or “I love 40 models”, otherwise it sounds like we are hyping a game that does not deserve it. It’s an implied endorsement. I’m sure we are all guilty of this, and that it applies to more systems than 40k, but its the one that keeps getting highlighted to me.
Anyway, rant over. Just some food for thought.

Everyone else drooling over the new Conquest: Wadrhun reveals this weekend? I do love me some Conquest and I do need to play around a bit more with First Blood and get a few more models on the table for that skirmish version of the great game!
And yeah… New AOS army? Looking real nice…
Now, to pick what of my many projects to go for Spring Clean challenge.

Spring clean challenge could be the spur to finish some projects that haven’t seen some love in a while.

The new Undead are looking great. I can see a quite a few of them in other games but the price of them is a real cold shower. Perhaps I’m getting more cheap as I get older and I just can’t justify spending so much on a few minis.
Spring challenge is might be just the thing to get into the hobby after a long hiatus.

Soulblight Vampires are what’s been missing from my life. Can’t wait to get my hands on new the Blood Knights. Conquest First Blood has a nice ring to it.
Star Wars+Free+hair buns=I’m done… I believe this was all orchestrated. On that note I think that there was a definite place to add a Spaceballs reference when you mention a space Winnebago.
Good stuff as usual, this episode I think I’ve gotten more interest leanings toward cavalry. Then again Warren has made for some brain fodder to contemplate. Orktober is coming….
The new vampire faction looks excellent but personally not enough of a pull for me to get into AoS. I still prefer the mass ranked battle of WH Fantasy.
