Start Your Weaver Courts Army For Para Bellum’s Conquest!
September 22, 2025 by brennon
Para Bellum Games has now begun taking pre-orders for the newest faction to join their 35mm Fantasy wargame, Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings! You can now get your hands on some awesome miniatures for the Weaver Courts.
Mohr Sidhe // Conquest
We start with a bunch of characters that you can add to the mix when building up your army for the Weaver Courts. The warbands of the Fianna are all commanded by one of the Mohr. Each is fearless, fierce and swift and embodies the martial ideals of the Weaver Courts on the battlefield. This makes them formidable melee combatants on the tabletop, unleashing flawless strikes that can scythe through the ranks of the enemy.
This set also makes one of the Rhun Sidhe. They switch things up and instead of being focused on melee combat, they are peerless archers.
Rhun Sidhe // Conquest
Acting as the eyes and ears of their people, they are the best woodsmen and marksmen who have been tasked with finding trouble before it ends up harming others. Whilst the Mhor unleashes deadly strikes in melee, the Rhun hits from afar.
Both character miniatures look awesome and help start to tell the story of the Weaver Courts and the way the different seasons change how your army works on the tabletop. I like that the Weaver Courts miniatures that we've seen so far all very much embody that almost "cruel nature" Fae vibe that you get from folklore. It's very cool!
As well as that Dual Kit, you can also get another of the Sidhe in the form of the Seanchas Sidhe.
Seanchas Sidhe // Conquest
We've had a melee combat master and an archer, so that means the third Sidhe for the Weaver Courts should be a powerful mage. These spellcasters use the elemental power of Ea to cast all sorts of spells that both support your army and harm the enemy. In-game, they can tap into the power of the Summer or the Winter High Courts, consuming Seed Markers on the battlefield to empower their spells. They are incredibly versatile.
The design of the Weaver Courts is distinctly uncanny, which I really like. Rather than just being elves or tree people, they are an interesting blend of the two, which lends them an ethereal and alien quality that is quite beautiful, especially in this 35mm scale.
Warriors of the Woods
As well as the heroes, you will also find lots of core troops also available to pre-order for the Weaver Courts. We start with the core of your army and that's the Kern Skirmishers.
Kern Skirmishers // Conquest
The Kern serve as the backbone of most Weaver forces and are made up of skilled warriors adept with both the bow and the blade. They can rush forward and pierce the enemy ranks with a lightning strike or stay back and pelt your enemies with seed-tipped arrows.
Tactically, you want to be using the Kern Skirmishers to unleash volleys of arrows at the enemy, weakening them and adding more seeds to the battlefield for your army to use. When they are weak, rush in and finish them off with a deft strike!
Supporting the Kern from the skies, you also have the Sciathan and Ciannir Riders.
Sciathan Riders // Conquest
Ciannir Riders // Conquest
Riding into battle atop the backs of the Lunopeth Moths, these mounts have become an invaluable part of the Weaver Courts' society and battlefield tactics. They are delicate and so often used for hit-and-run antics on the battlefield. For example, the Sciathan swoop in, effectively "bombing" enemy regiments as they fly overhead, laying down more of those Seed Markers which the rest of your army can benefit from.
The Ciannir are slightly different in that they much prefer to be sneaking around behind enemy lines. They do have hand crossbows, should they need them but they will often be playing a more integral role of planting their seeds exactly where they are needed, so you can get the most out of your army.
Every army needs a bit of muscle and so you can also get your hands on the towering Crann Guardians.
Crann Guardians // Conquest
The classic treemen of Wood Elf armies of old, reimagined for the world of Ea and Conquest. Awakened by the Whisper, these stoic warriors stomp forward and weather the rigours of battle like the toughest oak! Whilst a lot of your Weaver Courts army prefers hit-and-run style tactics, the Crann Guardians provide you with a solid core that can lock down portions of the battlefield.
A great mix of miniatures and I think of everything we've seen for the Weaver Courts, I like the Crann Guardians the most. I have a soft spot for treemen and I think the designs look great for these once again! I love the eerie single eye in their "face", which looks like it's peering into my soul!

A neat take on the Wood Elf theme, but I was hoping for more of an insect motif overall.
But, as cool as these look, I simply cannot entertain the absurdity that is rank and flank mass battle wargaming with 35mm models. Not only is that absurd for that type of game, but companies need to stop with these stupid proprietary scales. Make them 28mm and make it a skirmish game, or more them 10-15mm and do mass battle. Don’t try to do both with stupidly big models.
Shame, too, because the game looks good, but I will die on the “more models = smaller models” hill in this hobby.
28mm is not a scale
And neither are 10 or 15 mm
Those are distances 😛
Real scales would be : 1:56 and 1:100 😛
They certainly know how to think outside of the box with their factions.
It will be interesting to see if they explore either the insectoid or fae subfactions in more detail as the range expands.
These Wood elves are on a higher dose of acid than planned. Delightful paint scheme. 35mm scale, those butterflies would be pretty impressive to behold. Somewhat Impractical to store and move around, but good looking.
Been looking forward to the Weaver Courts for a long time. I do like the fickle look of the moth riders. The crann are also fantastic and I do see a resemblence to the constructs of their distant cousins in the Spires.
One question for the Irish among us: how is it for you to see that any faelike forest folk will have irish-like names and such?
Is it just me that’s getting a Avatar vibe from this army
