In this video, we're looking at adding narrative to this dungeon display. If you were to make a dream set of 28mm tabletop dungeon scenery or a diorama for Dungeons & Dragons; how would you approach it? Would it be with one of these plastic dungeon sets to suit your miniatures?

I’ve got a couple of ideas for you.
1. You can put the tavern on the above ground with the a keg/wine storage underneath with a secret access to the shadow bar where all those who live, or want to remain annoymous go for a drink. Secret above ground entrance doesn’t have to be anywhere in the setup, just have a door on the back wall.
2. Wizards lair under the Apothocary ; Afterall all good wizards need a front for their real goings ons.
3. Put your prison cells closer to the torture chamber, too far away and the screams won’t reach the prisoners and have the desired effect on them.
4. Don’t forget to add fresh meat ( hanging bodys ) to the smokeroom as well as fish.
5. Put some mirrors on the ceiling and floor of your cavern area hidden by the formations. They’ll give you a nice glow effect without having to use alot of lights. You can also drill out parts of your formations and add 3D transparent crystals to them and light them with 5mm LEDs hidden in the formations.

For the “floors” between each level….
Rather than just painting it black (or leaving it as stone coloured), perhaps shifting them backwards a bit and making them a bit thicker to allow some 3D sculpting and painting “inside” the floor itself?
For example, for the first level (the graveyard) you could roughen up the floor facing you so it looks like earth, then you could add some bones, coffins etc within the floor itself to bring out the interest and make the WHOLE aspect of the dungeon facing you look like a continuous “slice” (rather than a band of interest then floor, then ban of interest). You could also add some roots and even have them dropping down from the ceiling of the first subterranean level to tie thos elements together.
For floors of lower levels you could add pipework, voids etc within the floors (perhaps a rat burrow with a rat or two in there).
