Happy Sunday all, I enjoyed seeing everyone on the show today. More CoGs on in there future?
Thank for the button! I have to get a few more Lloyd and Gerry shots put up this week.
Happy Sunday!
Well, it seems that the XLBS show gets weirder and weirder. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing……….
Don’t lie, you LOVE IT!
Yeah, it’s true. 😊
Happy Sunday Chaps!
@templar007, most of the the scenery be perfect for “Blood and Valour” except 1 or 2 with corregated metal sheets in the interior.
If any one needs any guidance on valuations, please do not hesitate to contact me @ antiquevault.co.uk
At the moment gold items are my biggest seller. I was joking with @warzan before the show, that in conjunction with the Ontabletop store, “that together in an act of reverse alchemy, we can turn your gold items into gaming plastic”!
I realy enjoyed some of the “Conversational Cul de sac’s” and that might have been the best opening segment EVER!
Look after your collections guys, because in a fe years time, they might look after you!
Happy Sunday.
Enjoyed your appearance on the XLBS. Hope you join the boys again sometime in the future.
Thanks for the feedback on the trench terrain. I am building some from scratch but they won’t travel very well so I’ve been keeping my eyes open for some that will travel and survive. Hoping to get others around here into Blood and Valor.
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement @templar007. I saw the pieces at the Cavalier games show in Tonbridge 2 years ago, and it was love at first sight. I bought a load more bfore lockdown. It’s great to have a load of new scenery done, not least the jungle as well.
I’m only here because Michael forced me to watch him but I actually really enjoyed it! Good info on 3D printing and collectables. Makes you wonder what you might have tucked away in the back of your cupboard…
p.s. Can I have the files for that E.T. penis? (Asking for a friend.)
Great to see you here, now you can never leave! Woo-H-Ha-Ha!!!
Go to bed Michael.
Just a thought on top of my head @warzan …what about an auction where the money goes to some kind of charity? Like war veterans for instance. Not sure how we’d go about making sure things get shipped right. Getting everything shipped to you guys first, seems like a costly add on. But on the other hand, making sure people actually gets what they’re buying…not sure how to crack that one.
Hi @aurorainbag,
Shippng etc is not an huge problem, auctioneers have been organising it for centuries.
I suspect that there won’t be many people looking to give away their collections, thought it might be a consideration in a will, possibly? If you have any items that you wish to supply us to benefit a charity, we would be happy to take them if it happens at OTT, or in a regular auction soon?
Nice to see you’re serious about engaging the ‘Granny’ market acquiring the likes of @graystoak, i hear he scores very well in the 65-80 widows market!
@avernos, I still doubt ‘painting’ a bunch of basically robot skellies is Golden Button worthy, i use real paint 😉
Great show though, E.T. nobs aside!!!
You know full well it’s the 65-75’s bracket and I’m still not completely comfortable with you calling me ‘Dad’!
Holy f*** I won a golden button. Some very kind words there, thanks guys!
f*** yeah!
This week’s show was hilarious. Dan and Michael were brilliant on it as they both shared such interesting topics.
As for insurance, I’m going to go sourpuss on this: you’re probably better off putting away some money in a savings’ account on a monthly basis (apart from the standard and obligitory 3rd party fire and theft). My parents lost their house in a fire recently and the insurance company did their utter best to chip away as much as possible from the amount they were insured for.
That said, if you’ve already got a very expensive collection, it will take some time before you’ve covered it yourself.
Hope your parents are doing well @lonkelo
Our house was smoke damaged the very first day the wife and I moved in when the adjoining house was gutted by a fire overnight.
That was stressfully enough, I’m glad we didn’t lose a whole house.
Mostly our insurance company was quite good to deal with but we weren’t in need of replacing all our items, as they arrived with us that same day. I would imagine it might have been a different experience had I called them and said we lost everything.
They are doing fairly well, thanks 🙂 (considering the circumstances, of course).
I’m happy to hear your experience was much better. What are the chances of that happening the day you move in!?
Maybe different companies/people/countries or the position of the moon and Saturn could be factors here as well. I don’t know…
Now you tell me!!!! all the stuff I’ve offloaded on BoW!!! balls…………….. 😉
sucks to be you @buggeroff 🙂
