New Flames Of War’s Pacific Book Coming Soon From Battlefront

One of the sourcebooks coming out from Battlefront Miniatures for Flames Of War focuses on the Pacific and it's going to start your World War II island hopping in May.

This book is going to be great for those looking to play 15mm battles from 1942 through to 1943, playing out battles at Guadalcanal and across the Solomon Islands as well as deep in the jungles of Burma.

The Pacific - Contents // Flames Of War

This book will cover the different armies that you'll get to fight as during the period including the Imperial Japanese forces and the US Marine Corps and Army that were tackling a cunning and deadly foe.

The book will also cover the British and Indian forces that were battling in this theatre, the "forgotten army" as the preview below states. There will also be a section dedicated to the Australians who were doing plenty of the hot, sweaty work as well!

I like that you've got a good mix of missions in the book as well covering your classic beach landings and island landings as well as deadly jungle attacks where the enemy could come from anywhere. You've also got the opportunity to build some very interesting battlefields when you head to the Pacific, stepping away from neat fields and towns in favour of dense jungles and uneven terrain.

Japanese Forces Preview // Flames Of War

Make sure to dive into the book next month and have a think about the kinds of armies you might want to make. It will be tempting to go down the Japanese route but I think it would be fun to step outside the comfort zone and do the British and Indians or the Australians.
