Reply To: Hobby Hangout – Forums less relevant?

I always found the most popular forums moved really fast, making it very difficult to keep up with. I might want to give responses relevant to a post I’ve seen, but by the time I have to write it, it’s four pages back. So the projects I think really help solve that problem of showing a collection of work altogether.

That being said I did find Hobby Hangout was really good to save me from having to actually try and keep up with things like the WAYPN forum. So it worked well as catch-up for that. I do think the idea of posting in the WAYPN then linking to your project for a more detailed look is a good solution.

I wouldn’t want to see a return to a pure WAYPN hobby hangout, but I wouldn’t want it to be pure projects either. A nice blend of the two would be my vote 🙂
