The only game I have stopped playing that I was fully committed to is 40K. The meta at my local club was full on super armies at all times. Being the newer player at the club at the time there was only so many times I could face armies with 2+/2++ on every model or spam lists without being driven out of the hobby. The infamous 2 wound game (I did two wounds to the opponent and only had 2 wounds left after 45 mins) was the last straw.

I can’t be too down over it though as I swapped to Dropzone Commander and never looked back. Despite playing against top class players I was enjoying the hobby again.

And before anyone takes this as a dig at tournament players my 4th to 6th games of DZC were at my local tournament and were really enjoyable.
