I suspect we won’t get more than a casual remark, because the series is rarely *that* deep.
As she’s basically starting from scratch I doubt that’ll happen, but her meeting River or Jack could be *eh* interesting.

Capaldi was a lot different from his role (no swearing) in his previous tv-show, but other than the odd joke I don’t know if anyone complained about that. I guess the audience for both shows was different enough for that not to matter.
