@craigwrdouglas good choice. Like many others have mentioned, printablescenery does really great models. When I was new to 3D printing, I was happy to know when something went wrong, it was not caused by the model.
accoring time to print: the biggest factor is usually the layer height you defined to use. For building I usually use .2mm. If all other settings are fine, that should give a nice print. Only for parts with diagonals (like roofs) I sometimes switch to .1mm.
Another relevant setting is of course the speed that you define. When I started I set that to a lower level than necessary. You should play around with that setting a bit and see what your printer can handle. It took me a while to understand that slow is sometimes worse than fast. For example when you print overhangs like over doors or windows.
finally: you might soon discover the printer is faster than your painting. At least that is true for me. And after some time your collection will grow to an amazing size.
