Yeah, the taboo has changed from “shut up and act ‘normal'” to “look at me I’m special”
It doesn’t help that some are very keen to medicate the heck out of any behaviour that is ‘not the norm’ simply because they kind of refuse to acknowledge that kids can be a bit difficult/obnoxious.
And at the same time we’ve got people who may be helped with a bit of medication, but who either don’t see the need or aren’t getting the help they need.
Sometimes it’s the little things that can add up. I used to have a stomach ache that was work stress related. Playing games did sort of help, but only so much.
When I noticed myself getting more stressed with zero chance of it reducing again I quit my job, because I felt like I would work myself into a possible burnout.
It wasn’t the best exit, but IMHO it was the best decision, because I literally felt all the stress dissappear.
now I’ve got a new job with a lot less stress and more happyness.
