@woldenspoons we can but hope – – I have a stack of Daemonettes still on the sprues -would be good to find an excuse to get around to painting them and revisiting my older models too. They are well-overdue for a touch up and repair 🙁
@limburger ah yes I picked up a Humble Bundle some time back for the warhammer fantasy Roleplay 3rd(?) edition – as you say, great repository of source material. Might have to give the Kill Team tactical squad box another look… Hope you don’t damage your back when taking receipt of your Kickstarters…
@tuffyears congrats on the purchase 🙂 Almost seems a shame to modify it. Almost but not quite 😉 So naturally keen to see you work your magic 🙂
@mage looking forward to the photos. Yeah from memory in the 4 board game batrep that I was referring to previously the White Scars hit a Speed Freaks army head on at full throttle and everybody died (ok i think there may have been 2 or 3 white scars bikers left standing… out of two perhaps 1000 point forces?). So they literally replayed the game with ‘reinforcements’ while they were waiting for everyone else to play games on their boards. Will see if I can track down the old issues, would be good to revisit that story… Ha yes buyers regret is not a permanent state of being – usually passes when I pull the shrink-wrap off of the shiny new thing 🙂 Heh, we refer to our gaming tables interchangeably as taking place in either ‘Mordgrave’ or ‘Frostheim’ given the similarity with the terrain required. Admittedly it’s not pure ‘Frostgrave’ per se, but there are enough other people who play ‘Junglegrave’ or ‘Forestgrave’ that I feel we have enough freedom to play in a slightly more thawed area of the frozen city 🙂
@biggabum congrats on 28 years 🙂 Good to hear that I am not the only one who ‘improves’ or ‘enhances’ rules sets by dragging things across varying rulebooks…
@sundancer anything particular on the games front we should be keeping our eyes on for the next 12 months? Other than maybe Star Citizen…
@mage again thanks for linking that tutorial – I always find it helpful when people provide ratios for mixes rather than just ‘a mix of X and Y’… If that’s how you roll as far as ratios are concerned, then for the greater good please don’t tend a bar or bake pastries… Yes I was genuinely (and pleasantly” surprised by how heavy the Kill Team core box was – and the rule book is soft cover so there is less weight there than there otherwise might have been (rule book is still 200+ pages so is plenty hefty enough as is…). Happy to host this week if nobody has any objections – enjoy the time with your son 🙂 Really like the metal plates on the Troll- is that soft tone ink again to achieve that effect? Sorry can’t offer any advice on the other troll – have the original rulebooks fro back in the 2000’s but never read them (bought the boxed games so I could paint the minis for my cousin…). Might look through them at some stage – i understand that the rules set was the business as far as gameplay was concerned. Wow, powering through the projects – nice work on the Fellbeast and great job on getting the Firebelly up to speed in such short order.
Won’t have much of a chance to hobby before the weekend – still printing road sections but not much progress otherwise so nothing to report really. Will try and come up with a strategy for hobby on the weekend so I can hit the ground running as it were 🙂
