Ohh solid idea! Let’s have a wee bash

1)  If you had to play one game for the rest of your life what would it be?

Hmmm….. torn between the old Axis & Allies game but more from teh memories. Now I reckon ….. Necrounda or KD:M. More towards Necromunda as it has endless expandability and homespun growth. Hugely rich world and I love the narrative that goes with. From the bottom from the Sump to the dizzying heights of the upper spires – so many tales to tell and skirmishes to play out

2) How did you learn of BOW and why did you become a member of the community?

I think….think…. it was on YouTube.  Video teaching how to play 40K or soemthing like that….maybe Warren & John……

3) What do you enjoy the most about your hobby?

Painting, painting and some more…..painting 😀 I more of a painter than a player though I am currently searching for that perfect gateway game to bring the missus into the hobby. Rum n Bones 2 was most certinaly NOT it!!

4) where would you be if you weren’t working where you work?

Well, as I have just quit my current job and am moving home back to Ireland tomoro……… I guess home is the answer fro now!!!

5) what is your favourite genre to play games in?

Sci-fi. It’s always been sci-fi. I do love fantasy and dystopian future as well but #1 has always been sci-fi. I will quite happily watch the most ridicuously terrible movies just because they are sci-fi 🙂

6) what are your job roles where you work?

The job I just finished was a high school english teacher herein Korea. I was in charge of teaching english conversational skills and cultural awareness to high school level girls

 

7) what did you do before your current job?

Before coming to Korea 13 years ago I was a classics an supply teacher in Glasgow, Scotland for 3 years. Before that perpetual student 🙂

8) favourite all time game?

Space Hulk any and all editions

9) what do your co-workers think is your expertise?

Lesson planning and disciplining the …….more difficult…..of students

10) favourite alcoholic and non alcoholic drink?

Alcoholic: Sauv Blanc or other dry dry white wine Non-alcoholic: ….hmm….. ice cold milk or water or coffee…..moar coffee 🙂

11) spare time hobby thats not gaming related?

Streaming although that is painting centred…..ehmm…. watercolour painting like my dad before me. and reading…..SCI_FI!

12) what do you think others say is your most irritating trait?

I get too excited and talk over others sometimes. I can be as stubborn as hell too esp when someone says that I “have” to do something. Makes me dig my heels right in.

13) can you lick your own nose?

No. and my wife just caught me trying to and now wont stop laughing ><

14) what do you like the most and hate the most about your job?

Love the interaction with my students esp when one of my lessons really hits a nerve and gets them interested in the topic. Hate……..ehmm…. I guess the few lazy, cant be bothered, psih attitude students I’ve had over the years. Laziness and piss poor attitudes really gets my goat

15) favourite candy bar

Reeces Peanutbutter bar. Discovered them revently and I need an intervention now 🙁

16) favourite book – Name of the rose by Umberto Eco. Forgotten how many times I’ve read that book now but every reread always provides something new.

17) favourite pizza – Caramalised chicken, onion adn pineapple italian base pizza . Dont judge me!

18) favourite movie – probably Shawshank or maybe Lotr trilogy or…….too many. Go with Shawshank

19) favourite band – changes regularly. At the mo I’m all over PostModern Jukebox. Love me some older Linkin park too and ….ask again tomoro

20) who from the BOW would you eat in a zombie apocalypse?

Gerry. He’s huge and would have some good eating to him. Nice lean bit of Gerry bbq 😀
