Can’t say that I can pledge to do something – first time I’ve posted in this type of thread, but I really want to pick up the brush tomorrow to get on with some figures. Anyway onto the questions:
Have you found yourself fond of a particular color and use it wherever you can? If so, what is it?
For me it must be browns, not a particular shade but I have so many different shades of brown from Leperous Brown through to Oak Brown and onwards. Sometimes it feels like half my paint pots are a shade of brown.
Do you feel there is a certain amount of texture on figures that makes or breaks a model?
I will admit to getting put off of painting some figures due to the amount of detail, but washes have helped me not worry too much about that. I do however enjoy painting furs, might be something to do with all those browns…
Do detailed resin bases add or subtract from gaming figures?
I’m not a big fan of resin bases to be honest, not for the reasons suggested but more to do with limitations a flocked green base can allow you to get away with a few different terrains, but a resin base looks odd in some places.
With tabletop board games that take up quite a bit of room in storage creating spectacularly detailed playing pieces do you see the future becoming more difficult for hobbyists to maintain space for their hobby?
There is no doubt that the answer is yes to that question. I have a shed in the garden for my gaming bags of miniatures but that seems not to be enough even now!
Had a game of X-Wing V2 last night with a friend, I haven’t yet got the upgrade kit for my rebels so played with my friends ships etc. Really enjoyed the game it doesn’t feel too much different from v1 to put me off.
