@jodain The muffin Mafia was definitely a sight to witness and chuckle at. Its about as bad as the comic from long long ago ‘Milk and Cheese’ with their byline ‘What happens when dairy goes bad’. I look forward to see what you come up with in the terrain department as we’ve been able to follow along with @mage.
@dawfydd I think it might be interesting to see what you come up with if you ever put your army on display. You’ve got plenty of troops to showcase and we’ve seen quite a bit of other stuff come across the threads. Why not kick it up a notch and show it all off?
I really wasn’t aware of much of the backstory/fluff for the Star Trek vessel but it was interesting to take a peek at.
@sundancer Good to see that your efforts are paying off. The red has come out quite nicely and the figures look alright. The only thing that popped out to me was the alignment of the one staff that you got replaced being slightly crooked. The figures came out fine by me in the sculpting. I know I’ll get the mention of this later but I’ll get it out of the way here.
*eyeing a certain somebody and chuckling to himself*
Hit it with a little more highlight on those hard edges. A dash of orange to your red pushes it into the crimson area (yes, they are Crimson Guard already) toward orange that reads brighter.
@evilstu The flow aid with dishwashing detergent is literally all you’re paying for if you go to an art store. If you went out opened up the flow aid bottle and smelled the contents it’d be the biggest surprise as I found out myself after buying a bottle and getting home wondering about the product. Its the same with styrene cement. You can just take a bottle of nail polish remover and use it to bond your scratch built plastics. It probably works on regular GW or Malifaux type mass produced plastics. I know that it definitely does the trick with Reaper Bones. I think that the stuff for the airbrush flow aid is a few different things with the addition of glycerin (why it smells sweet).
Here’s a good channel to get some nitty gritty hobby hacks.
