I think the speeders are there to counter the imperial speeder bikes. It’s a fast moving troop and they can use the harpoon to spin the AT-ST to prevent it shooting easily or to show it’s weaker rear armour.

I do think FFG will do something like a shield generator down the line, but when they do based on the downed AT-ST we’re probably looking at $100 minimum unless they only do a section.

there are some lovely MDF ones though so I’ll probably pick up one of those
