@evilstu – it seems that I can print small stuff all day. 20mm calibration cube, inline filament filter, even managed a couple of print-your-own-terrain doorways. But as soon as I try to do something “useful” I’m either crashing the bed and blocking the nozzle, or having corners lift (and sometimes the entire structure) off the bed. I thought I’d cracked it and saw about half of the Castle Grayskull face appear.
But three hours into a five hour print and I was printing air! The nozzle had clogged (with no immediately obvious reason) and once again I was up to my elbows in acetone! So on small stuff, the raft stays stuck to the base and the model finishes before the printer decides it’s had enough.
But anything bigger than a few cm and it’s one problem after another! I think I’ll just find someone with a relatively robust 3d printer and ask for a few favours 😉
