Yeah  I hear yea.  Female minis tend to be tricky if you are relying on audience participation and feed back, even/particularly with human women: to much one way you end up with bishonen pretty boys that are basically head swaps, too much the other way  you end up with porn mini.  And armor is also a real sticking point with female minis. My advice is do something you would give your ten to twelve year old daughter/relative that she would play with (cause that usually sells), is easy to add to a sprue and fits the theme you are going for.
