Was pissing around with the transparent/translucent Reaper models last week. I wasn’t really sure what to do with them so I could preserve the transparency. In the end I went with coloured washes on the elemental, followed by a light blue ‘foamy’ dryrush. I painted on a thick gloss sealer. There’s room in the base for a tealight… maybe later. Sorry for the crap pictures.

On the water weird I just put a wash on the face and base, and did the same foamy drybrush. I painted in teeth and eyes. and put a gloss finish on it. Looks wetter than the elemental. There’s no consistency in the colour or opacity of the plastic.

@woldenspoons what do you think of the contrast paint? Looks like it does a good job! I’ve had people tell me it’s good for assembly line painting, but they aren’t totally sold on it. I’ve also been told that the colours aren’t consistently transparent.

Glad your interview went well. Did your Excel test take five minutes?
