@dawfydd interesting hadnt realised they had done a new combined edition of the rule book for Alpha Strike got the old one 1st part but could never get the 2nd part.

Found a stockist so may consider it for birthday next month.

With that avail your whole suggestion has definite merit for most bootcampers, I dont have lastest rules set for old style battletech , put dont think much of the basic rules have changed other than partial cover.

So if a weekend was arranged, a couple of traditional games could be run, though unless very small no of forces, time would be a limiter.
