Honestlly though? Part of me just wants to see @warzan tumbling down the deep, deep hole that is Battletech/Mechwarrior lore and fiction 😀

But given how well the current crop of boxsets, books, and the Kickstarter have been received, coupled with the modest success of the Battletech pc game (can recommend – go play it 😉 ) and the imminent release of Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries (currently December as an Epic Store exclusive) it looks like the franchise is being given a push back into the public consciousness. And fair play to CTL with the new plastics – Sure something like the hard plastics Thor & Loki/Battlemaster/Madcat of the last two boxsets would have been nice to see for the whole range, the fact they are making all the mechs as pre-assembled in a slightly softer plastic (but still with substantial detail) using long-overdue updated redesigns can only increase the accessibility of the game (doubly so with the Alpha Strike and pilot cards each set is coming with).
