a ‘defective’ rule set that’s earning them a ton of revenue isn’t quite that ‘defective’.

Those ‘wounds’ only exist in your imagination, because you keep rubbing them every time you see GW do something that isn’t aimed at you and that manages to make them (a lot of) money.

If anything the only thing ‘wrong’ with AoS was that it was released before it was ready, but that’s has been fixed.
No one forced you to switch versions or stop playing WFB.
It’s not like this is a computer game where the ‘old ‘ versions are unplayable as soon as a new patch is released.
Never mind that with 9th Age you’ve already got the ‘classic’ WFB … (which isn’t attracting the following it ought to if people actually wanted that sort of thing).

A mere re-skin of AoS would not need 2+ years of development.
Never mind that it’s never ever going to satisfy the whiny beeps who saw their precious fantasy world replaced by something more successful and easier to get into.

I think if anything GW is hoping people have forgotten about what WFB was so they can create a new game without having to stay true to the original rules and background.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they declared all of the ‘old’ fluff to be invalid like Disney did to the expanded universe stuff for Star Wars …

So keep scratching that wound … it’s only going to fester and make Nurgle happy.

btw : of course they’re obsessed with copyright, trademarks and such … they’re business, not a charity.
