Hi de Hi!

1) Now that the dust on the “Wayland Yutani buys a Beast Of War” has settled a bit and @warzan did bring the new head honcho to the show: how are  you feeling about this?

If it is Wayland Yutani then we best prep for the incoming aliens …
I think it is possibly the best scenario next to winning the lottery for OTT.
We’ll have to wait and see what actually changes for us though. I think the majority will be in the background for more than a few months.

2) Have you seen the new episode of The Mandalorian yet? (NO SPOILERS!)

3) If you could choose any movie that you would like to have succeed but that failed terribly or was plain horrible and you could remake it in your way: what would that be?

Any of the Star Wars trilogies since the original … so let’s start with the pre-quels.

They would be set millenia before the original trilogy (thereby lending weight to the phrase ‘a weapon of a more civilized age’ … ) and show the fall of the civilization with only a tiny link to the cast of the original trilogy.
It would not be a trilogy of movies, but a proper 5 year long tv show like Babylon 5 was.

The sequel trilogy is also terrible. This also should be more like a long running tv-show, because there’s too much to explore to fit in one or more 2 hour movies.

Star Trek … the JJ Trek trilogy needs to be stopped from ever happening. Star Trek is a tv series for a good reason as you can’t tell epic stories if you have to explain the setting and the characters every single time.

The simple sad fact is that they never attempted to show live outside of Federation starships (DS9 being the exception … and I bet that was because of Babylon 5 ). Give live to 2 dimensional bad guys like Ferengi and Klingons (it can’t always be murder and violence all the time … ).

Same applies to Harry Potter, Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit … all of them would have been better as tv-series instead of movies.
