I suspect it might happen with high pressure air, but not at the low pressure in an airbrush.

More airbrush tips for beginners :

I notice every video so far has people pull the trigger with their index finger.
I’ve tried that and I can’t do it. Might be because of an accident I had as a kid.
Using my thumb gives me more control.
