For my local group it’s gone the other way. We’ve been talking about games and rulesets in anticipation of being able to meet up again. Too many really. Since the end of last year I’ve painted the Operation Kaldstrom starter, a SW: Legion Clone Wars starter box, a SAGA Anglo Danes warband + terrain, more parts for a SAGA Age of Magic warband and some bits and bobs for A Billion Suns. The gradual lifting of restrictions feels like a deadline hurtling towards me to finish the Billion Suns stuff and more AoM bits.

I enjoy painting in and of itself. I’m in a Patreon for a youtube artist where we’re restarting the paint club. Idea is to all paint the same mini. The idea kicked off this week. My local hobby group pushed the idea of maintaining a hobby streak and we started it yesterday. We have a Discord chat dedicated only to posting some piece of hobby we did that day. Keep posting to maintain the streak. Some folks who haven’t posted since last year have pitched in. Will be good to see how both last. For me, there’s a big surge motivation in the groups I’m involved with.

It might be a UK thing. Hopefully we’ll be back gaming in May and people are building for that time.
