Investing in performance seems like a sensible focus to me, though if functionality is lacking then it doesn’t matter that much how fast the lack of functionality is. A few things come to mind off the cuff: being able to edit my posts (after 24 hours); being able to get relevant, easy to navigate search results; and being able to change my username.
