Just realised I haven’t joined in this week. Here goes –

How are you holding up in week #2 without your fix of Weekender and LBS?

I think I’m doing ok as it happens. I stayed pretty much “offline” while we were playing on the narrowboat last week and realised I spend a lot of time online just “killing time” instead of doing anything productive. Sometimes it’s nice, but I realised that it’d become habit. So I’ve been trying to keep busy actually doing stuff anyway, so not really noticed the time flying by! (this may or may not be a good thing)

Do you take care of yourself? No. I’m an idiot. I should. But going out for a coffee or an ice cream when it’s too cold/hot doesn’t really count does it?

If you could take a peek behind the curtains of any given (hobby related) company and see what it is “inside the machine” that makes it go tick where would you like to look at? I’m always fascinated by the “cottage industry” type companies, rather than the big boys. So I’d probably want to spend a few days with someone like Hasslefree Miniatures or Heresey and see the whole end-to-end process of designing, sculpting, casting, marketing and finally selling tabletop miniatures. I loved spending a few hours with Ben at 4Ground a few years back – really fascinating stuff! I can’t imagine GW being particularly interesting: “this is where a crap-ton of stuff arrives from China and that’s the door we send it out of”

Pledge – finish my vampire woman and any other minis I haven’t painted their hair black because I don’t know how to do it; just finish all my minis that have solid black hair and put them on the “done” shelf.

Here’s your music. It’s more late 80s soft rock!
