I agree with @laughingboy, I am much less interested in watching the shows in the current format, they are essentially just podcasts at this point, they are far less appealing. Visually they are boring, and to be honest I have seen enough zoom meetings in the last year to last a lifetime. If I want to chat on zoom about hobby I can do that on my own and it would be more interesting. There are really not features anymore in either the weekender or xlbs. I would suggest that people go back and watch some of the pre covid shows, and honestly tell me that the current shows live up to the quality we all expected back then. I understand that it may be more convenient for the ott employees to stay home, but that is not what we are talking about here, if we are talking about quality of programming there is no comparison between studio and zoom. Zoom looks amateurish and lazy, no matter how much work is put in to it.
For those of us like me who are not in the UK or Europe, and those of us that will most likely never attend a Bootcamp, shop at the OTT store and for whom different time zones prevent participation in live events, the main attraction to OTT is the shows and videos that the team produce. The events of the last year and a half made it necessary to change some things to keep things going, and just like everything else it was understandable and everyone had to lower their expectations. Now however, if the choice is made out of convenience to deliberately not go back to the things that made me subscribe in the first place, I at least will be seriously disappointed and think about if it is worth it in the future .
