@dazlamb it doesn’t have to be a lot of fluff, but I find it hard to relate and get a feel for factions if they’re just a bunch of statistics.
It’s kind of why I am so dissappointed with the modern Codexes for 40k. A (good) faction list should be thematic both in mechanics and actual layout/presentation.

Anyways …  rules wise it is obvious that Mantic know what they’re doing and why. I like their no-stress approach, but I’m sure there’s people who can ruin these rules as well by taking them a little too serious and literal …

@tankkommander Mantic is not GW … so I doubt they will mind it if you use alternate sources 😉
I do like that there’s not a ton of fragile crap attached to the models, so you can handle them like the gaming pieces they are instead of trying to use display pieces in a game … and as a bonus they look like they won’t bump their heads or get caught in the local shrubbery while walking 😀
