bootcamps weren’t exactly “cheap” either after I had finished buying the train & plane tickets (and for the last one : a place to sleep … which was a fair bit of my total expenses for that trip ).

As such anyone who isn’t “local” to wherever the roadtrip OTT wants to organize is is going to have start saving up a fair bit.

It’s not likely to be “geek nation” style expensive ( https://geeknationtours.com ), but unless people are willing to sacrifice a lot of comfort (or Warzan talks Wayland into sponsoring it … ) it’s not going to be super cheap either.

For some of us that would mean sacrificing the family holiday budget …

It also depends on what kind of activities are going to be planned.
Visiting a few gaming related places would be cool enough as an idea.
The fact that you can talk to people with similar interests is a huge bonus.
