A couple more reasons why the ‘good ole days’ were, indeed, provably, quantifiably, objectively better:

Compare an older issue of a magazine – such as White Dwarf – with any current issue. Tightly spaced, massive walls of text , literally tons of information, background – some even quite well written – loads upon loads of gorgeous photos as well as drawings, maps and such, not a fraction of an inch of empty space on any page – of which there were three times as many…..

Trying to log back into my Warlord Games account, I had to ‘re-activate’ because ‘security’. That is something you NEVER had to do with printed catalogs and mail order. No ‘security’ issues then…..
