I have no idea but I assumed the Vanguard Book and tokens were there to temp you into playing the game?

They would like to tempt you into playing the game but I think it’s the weakest of their games.   The game seemed to do well at the start then it went into a decline as far I can see.   It’s the Mantic game that most needs the rules looking at and points adjusting.   I think it needs a complete re-write to get up to the level of their other games.   I still found it fun….
