Pledge: well I have many projects to choose from but I do believe I will start a new one.  Because it’s the fourth of July long weekend I’m starting a ships build.  I’ve been buying 1/700 scale WWII ships.  Lexington,  Yorktown, Hornet, and the big ‘E’ Enterprise.   I also have the IJN Kaga.  Also the USS New Orleans heavy cruiser.  Still looking for affordable destroy models.

I’ve been planning a backyard by the Garden sea battle.  Coral Sea and then Midway.  But also other sea battles of the time.

I’m liking the 1/700 scale since Warlord got me hooked on that with the ‘Black Seas’ ships.

I have yet to pick a rules set for ‘Battle in the Backyard’.  Anyone have any suggestions?

 

Questions:

        What was your personal first contact with the Star Trek universe?

Answer:  Saturday afternoon reruns.  I was still in lower Elementary school at the time and we ‘nerds’ went on away missions during recess at school.   We were even allowed to make Phasers during craft time in school.  Try to do that now a days!

Which show is your personal favourite?

Answer: It was always TOS.  Simple with hope for the future.  But…….I think Enterprise now.  I like that filling the gap between now and the TOS.
If you could be any one character in any of the shows or movies for a day in that universe who would you want to be??

Answer: Captain Archer (but Kurk is a close second).
