I am currently ambivalent about what I saw, specifically about the Kill Team stuff.

Exciting as they are for KT itself in their own way I am struck by the fact that, once again, this is going to be the only way to access the contemporary iteration of another Astra Militarum unit that will come with the Kill Team tax. A lot of these have been re-boxed for the new edition and now come with tokens for play in that game but that has also been the cause to push the prices to nearly £50 for ten models. That’s going to make getting them for use in actual 40K (or your favourite model agnostic system that you want to play with the toys from the stories) even more bitter than before.
This with the Tempestus Aquillons already waiting on the wings…

And based on what we have seen with the Krieg Veteran Guardsmen/Kasrkin, these aren’t likely to get a pared down version available for more massed rank and file use any time soon.
