Firelock Games gave an update on their Blood & Valor expansion. Basically about 20 more army lists plus some rules for new units. You can check out their FB post but here’s the cover photo. No exact date beyond end of this year, beginning of next year.
nope they didn’t exist, Bolsheviks now that is a different matter.
I had talked to Rufus and Kai about interwar gaming a lot with the rule set when they first showed it off at Historicon, so I imagine that is the plan to expand forces for WWI and beyond to other nations
@limburger and @avernos the lists include:
Portuguese
Italians
Austro- Hungarians
Serbians
Bulgarians
Greeks
Romanians
Polish
Germans on East Front
Russian Imperial Army
Russian Imperial Cossack Army
Russian Army of Free Russia
Checkzlovokian Legion
Red and White Armies- multiple lists
Green Army Lists
Allied intervention in Russia
Japanese
Chinese Warlords
Belgian Armored Car force in Russia
Belgians and Portuguese in Africa
Irish Easter Uprising / Black and Tans
Also armored cars, riverboats and weather rules.
Black and Tans? Interesting choice
Soviets came into being in 1921 or 1922 or there abouts I think
regular british army already exists in the main rule book so there is no point in duplicating it
lol … my bad … yeah, Russians and Cossaks of course
silly country should have kept just the one name instead of confusing us noobs with its history 😉
@blipvertus I guess that’s a big NO for the Dutch then ?
(yeah … we were neutral so bloody unlikely they will ever appear in a WW 1 game)
@limburger the first book covered:
British- Western Front
British – Gallipoli Front
British -Palestine Front ? Not sure of the exact term, but the war between British and Arab forces vs the Ottomans.
British – East Africa
French – Western Front
Belgium – Western Front
Germany – Western Front
Germany – East Africa
Ottoman Empire – Gallipoli
Ottoman Empire – Palestine
Arab Revolt though technically in the British Palestine lists, you can have a purely Arab force or a mixed British and Arab force.
United States – Western Front
The expansion will nicely cover several post WW1 conflicts.
And the system would work well for pre-war conflicts like the US/Mexican conflict.
I’ve already built two armies, working on a third army and trying to decide what order to make my fourth, fifth and sixth armies ?
Good to hear that Firelock is expanding ‘Blood and Valor’.
(marking it down now on my list of future purchases). ??
Interviewing Rufus next week, not sure on the day, get your questions in now.
@avernos ask about any new units universal units. I believe medics, flag bearers and musicians have been mentioned. Also asked about who the new named commanders will be.
