I’ll have some of that!
July 20, 2019 at 10:05 pm #1416501But noooooo…they went with the wrong Lawmaster
I much prefer the older one with all the headlights and the microwave/portable TV stuck on top of the handlebars (although admittedly it would have been a bugger to cast and would have had lots of parts to assemble), the new one always seemed a bit spartan on the details 🙁
Other than that GIMME..WANT…
Hopefully the rules will be better than the SD game, anyone know the scale on these (are they 28mm or the weird Dr Who scale)?
July 20, 2019 at 10:15 pm #1416503@avernos those bring back memories of the summer I read a bucket load of Judge Dreed.
Those would be great for an RPG. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for when they are available in the stores.
July 20, 2019 at 10:33 pm #1416506Judge Dredd figures always makes me want to listen to Antrax – I am the Law! Lovely models, a good time to be a Dredd fan.
July 20, 2019 at 10:33 pm #1416507That Fattie need a new belly wheel! My favourite card from Blockmania

I’m guessing the game will borrow heavily from Strontium Dog. Has anyone played that?
July 21, 2019 at 2:26 pm #1416597Nope….
“Proper” Lawmaster…

Love to own one, but at £220 it’s not going to happen (hopefully Warlord might do both versions), the one Warlord did appeared in the mid 90s (so for us “old uns” its all new fangled), The one I linked to was from issue 1 and then on almost to issue 1000. I mean the original has the Cyclops Laser and the big screen behind the main headlight that’s all green text on black background (DOS FTW). The first one looks like a motor bike, the second was also when they started doing “flying” Lawmasters.
OMG I’m “rivet counting” on Judge Dredd now 😛

July 21, 2019 at 9:53 pm #1416741July 22, 2019 at 6:03 am #1416765I’ve not played Strontium Dog but I’ve read through the rules. It’ll be different from the old Dredd rules but I think better. Would like to get a play through before jumping in.
July 22, 2019 at 12:03 pm #1416931It IS going to have the same challenges as the SD game (asymmetric forces with a Judge or two vs LOADS of “perps”). I’d imagine it’s going to use the same “2000 AD” dice that SD uses. In fact I would expect it to have very similar rules to SD.
However you could always grab the Mongoose rules now (there’s some still floating around), or the RPG rules. But even if you can’t find any official rules you like, the minis are just too cool NOT to have 😀
Edit There were quite a few stories with a crossover with JD and SD in the same storyline Judgement Day was the longest one I think, with JD refusing to accept SD had any legal jurisdiction and promply decided SD and Wulf needed arresting. So you might see rules for both appearing in each others game.

July 22, 2019 at 3:51 pm #1417017God I would love to play some Dredd but the problem is everyone wants to be the judges and no one will want to be the gangs.
July 24, 2019 at 10:38 am #1417623Some info from Warlord in this. Out in November and they want all the Dredd games to have the same core mechanics so will be based on SD. The main Dredd info is at 6 minutes in.
