The article appears in Tabletop Gaming News. Looks like MERCS, MERCS Recon and MERCS Conquest are all slated to be re-released in 2021.
I’m very excited by this!
November 7, 2020 at 12:05 am #1579925Now that is good news. I just assumed the IP had been lost to the mists of time!
It might motivate me to actually try out MERCS: Recon seeing as I got both sets and all the expansions from the KS and have never touched them!

November 7, 2020 at 1:37 am #1579928I picked up the Mercs rulebook long ago when ‘Beasts of War’ talked about it quite a bit. Then all went silent……
If I remember right, I was very excited to snag the rulebook.
I hope this second chance does well!
November 7, 2020 at 3:15 pm #1580056I’ve enjoyed Mercs since the kickstarter, playing both Recon (shameless project plug –> https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1279259/ )and the tabletop game a fair bit (heck, even Conflict though could never get the hang of the balance for the corps with 1 less die). Good to see it coming back and will be interesting to see where the new company takes it. CMON and Miniature Building Authority principals head up Fifth Angel Studios, so a good foundation to build from. Would be nice if they could coax Keith Lowe back for the artwork.
November 9, 2020 at 6:21 pm #1580680That’s great news, MERCS was fun and so wa MERCS Recon.
November 10, 2020 at 12:15 am #1580722Nice! MERCS is a great little skirmish game. Recon was quite good too. Hopefully, i’ll be able to get the last few minis to complete all 12 factions. Depends if they’re going to re-release it or reboot it i guess.
November 10, 2020 at 1:29 am #1580730@innes the brief article said they’d add to the existing game so I guess re-release and expand?
November 10, 2020 at 12:36 pm #1580868Ok, there’s a new Facebook page called MERCS and it’s first post is by one of the new owners of the IP. It describes the current situation and timeline.
Too long to post here but worth a read.November 10, 2020 at 1:30 pm #1580885November 10, 2020 at 1:37 pm #1580886@blipvertus Any chance of a link to the page?I’m having no luck finding it.
November 10, 2020 at 2:31 pm #1580900@innes. Link thingy: https://m.facebook.com/MERCS.MG/

November 15, 2020 at 10:50 am #1581928My Megacon scar from a couple of expensive but very disappointing KS many years ago is starting to itch…
Still waiting to see what Ulisses does with Myth and so want Mercs to do well. It was Mercs that first brought me to BoW.
Whether I’ll ever do anything with the blurry pile of plastic that came out of the KS is another thing. I suppose I could slap some contrast paints on them as stand-bys until hopefully some truly tabletop standard models appear… It’ll be interesting to see what that Q3 2021 KS has to offer.
November 17, 2020 at 10:20 pm #1583016Inspired by this news, i had a game of MERCS today. On Tabletop Simulator of course. Nice reminder of how good a game it is. I might dig out a squad and get another faction painted.
November 18, 2020 at 12:19 am #1583038@innes one of my friends re-bought factions he’d sold off and is currently assembling and painting them.
Somewhat related, here’s the stuff I still need to build.
