Has anyone tried FoW with the random activations of Bolt Action?
Did it work ok, did anything need tweaking?
I’ve not but the only thing that may cause an issue are the assaults and supporting units. Since you have to declare who is involved in that at the start of an assault it may just be a case of drawing dice from a bag like a “snap to”… otherwise you can’t have combined assaults
It’s certainly an interesting idea and bound to be worth a try. I’ll let it mull in my head maybe I’ll try it out
Id be curious if this works too. Let me bounce it off a buddy of mine and get his thoughts. He is really good at these types of questions.
Definitely interested to see what you guys come up with. My one stumbling block with FoW has been its you go I go mechanics.
My buddy said he thinks it would be a very good idea.
His specific comment was that it would help with Armor lists that are quite capable of alpha strikes so breaking up the I go you go is good.
Works quite fine. But we didn’t used coloured dice, but gaming cards.
We used this in 4 gamers battle royal. Every gamer got cards up to the number of units.
