[Hamburg Tactica] New information on the Hamburg Tactica 2022

Just now the Orga Team of the Hamburg Tactica has released this information:

Dear friends, visitors and guests of the Hamburg Tactica….

Today we would like to briefly update you on our plans for the event in February.

Shortly, very shortly after the Hamburg Tactica 2020, the virus came over us. As we all know, our event was the last wargaming convention to take place. Since then, time has stood still. No conventions, no bigger meetings, in most of the time not even small meetings.

All this is not over, but it is time to pull our heads out of the sand. After much deliberation, we have decided to plan a Hamburg Tactica 2022. The date is 19th and 21 February 2022, we already announced some time ago.

We all don’t know what will happen until then and whether the event can really take place. But we think the chances are good enough to try. However, the event will -if- take place under the following condition:

The Hamburg Tactica 2022 will be a 2 G event! So anyone who is not vaccinated or recovered will not be able to participate. Neither as a guest, trader or presenter.

Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this. Apart from the fact that we are all convinced vaccination advocates, we as organisers cannot do anything else, first and foremost for organisational and secondly for legal reasons. Currently, there is no longer a distance requirement for such a 2G event in Hamburg. The Hamburg Tactica 2022 will only take place if this remains the case. A convention with 1.5 metres of space around each participant may seem desirable to some, but it is simply not feasible. We hope that by then there will no longer be a mask requirement. But in an emergency we would live with the masks if we had to. There will be NO advance ticket sales, because logistically we cannot cope with that. The 2G rules allow us to allow a higher throughput of visitors, so we have decided on this model.

We have already made initial enquiries to retailers and – with a few exceptions from the UK – have already received a surprising amount of interest and even commitments… and we will try to convince game presenters and other retailers to join us at the event as usual in the coming weeks. At the same time, we are thinking about one or the other measure, such as checking vaccination certificates, splitting up the event areas to get more distance in case of doubt, etc… We will keep you up to date on this here in the blog.

But for now, it’s very clear…WE are united in wanting to hold the event… Keep your fingers crossed for us all to make it happen.

Da lebt man sein leben lang in Hamburg und jedes Jahr merkt man, dass letztes Wochende so ein Event war ^^
