    🤣🤣🤣

This is what my Necrons commission paid for. I earned it! But yeah, it’s, uh, a lotta money in plastic. Ironically, I cannot find Howling Banshees, the last unit to add to the pile before I dig in.

@lawnor – lovely to see some progress.  Glad it is going well.

@grantinvanman – that’s an impressive pile.  I’ve got a wardrobe full of potential but it isn’t all basically for one army.  Good effort.

Update at this end is that I’m done with the boring real life stuff that was getting in the way of hobby so I’ve made some progress. Falians for the Sláine project:

So my running total for the year is 9/365.  Slow start but things will pick up quickly when I get on to painting in my Spring Clean Challenge project – Bornu-Kanembu

    @zoidpinhead – thanks! Don’t tell anyone, that’s just the largest stack… I have a closet full, as well 🤣👍

I had a 2nd edition Eldar army, so when the new 10th ed came out, I started on release weekend and have just added as supply becomes available. With GW these days, if I don’t grab it when it comes up, re-supply takes months to North America

Lovely work on your projects! Always a treat!

Finished the infantry and a cav unit for my Romano British forces and managed to get the last of the Numidian Cavalry done for the Carthaginians.

One of my pledges for 2025 was to get my homebrew RPG rules into something that makes sense to other people and play a short campaign to see if the rules work.

Well… it makes sense to me… and tonight I’m running it for the first time.

It’s a very abridged rules as skills are just listed rather than described in detail, but every knows what skills do. Some skills are simple checks and others extended. I have a character sheet and character creation sorted. It’s a simple combat system (I want it simple).  I know how fire, poison and other forms of ‘energy’ damage work. It’s a bare bones.

Hopefully it won’t all be negative feedback.

A quick update on a few points:

1: Paint all the ATO C4 models: DONE

    lunarlanderimmortal truthbearerCloudsoarerWishendershadowdancerCirrotrireme

2: Finish C4 of ATO: STARTED

    playing

    3: Paint ATO Godforms: STARTED

    g2g1

4: Start new campaign game with friends (RE2 and Frosthaven lined up) – DONE

We tried RE2 but it’s not for us. Frosthaven is our new 5 year commitment.  We started it at the weekend and are 3-4 missions in and have our next 2 sessions pencilled in.

5: Paint at least as many models as I gain – DONE, for now

I have painted 92 models so far this year, and only 89 have arrived.  So far.  Kingdom Death will be shipping more in July/August, and possibly December.  12 Sins of Herakles and Enormity are both still saying they’ll release at the end of the year but I don’t believe that.  There is always Black Friday, too.  I expect KDM to get some of my money then.

So a week ago I tested one of 2025 pledges… my homebrew RPG. It worked, sort of, but there were so many failures on skill checks that I figured it was too hard.

So last night I converted it to Ubiquity system… and players failed just as much.

Turns out my RPG is not broken, it’s just the players dice rolling. They should never go to Las Vegas.

Managed to keep my rather simple pledge on track so far: reduce my backlog by 20-25% and do weekly paint logs on YT
