@robert not much of a spoiler as they mentioned it in the promotional materials for Realmslayer, but Gotrek’s schtick at the moment is trying to come face to face with Sigmar, as he believes a warrior spirit as mighty and noble as Felix would be prime material to be reforged as a Stormcast. It’d be awesome to see Felix (and some of the duo’s other companions) reborn like  this, but at present it’s more Gotrek’s own theory….

@robert : I’m sure GW will find a way to include Felix if they’re bringing Gotrek back …
I mean … from a company that solves the primaris vs regular space marine controversy by having the fluff say “it works, nothing bad happened” I wouldn’t expect much.

A new civil war of space marines vs primaris would have been kind of cool/interesting.

@sundancer one look at the weather forecast and all the precautions outdoor activities were taking was enough to keep me inside today.
I’m no good with hot weather …and I was kind of distracted by code.

@mage cynical me thinks none of the companies care about their customers. They have proven over and over that they only care about their shareholders. CD Projekt RED is the only one that I kind of trust to deliver a good game (when CP 2077 releases) … and even they have been *ahem* less than ethical with their treatment of their employees. 🙁

Back to hobby the contrast paints appear to be offering more goodness for us :

Sony is getting too arrogant because they got a good headstart this gen. They should consider themselves lucky that Nintendo isn’t interested in fighting the big boys. Refusing crossplatform multiplayer must have been the stupidest move ever, because it allowed Nintendo and MS to some positive news.

The most ironic thing though is the rumour that Sony might be using Microsofts’ Azure tech in the future. That must have felt like a punch in the family jewels for some of them. OTOH … it’s not like they have much choice. It’s Either Amazon or Azure at this stage. They haven’t got the capability to develop their own cloud-based solutions.

I think we’re near the end of an era soon.
heck, I’ve noticed that I have spent very little on my videogaming habit compared to previous years.
Instead I’ve been spending it on this hobby.

@dawfydd & @limburger thanks for that.  I’ve kinda lost track of GW fluff these days.  I’ve a lot of reading to catch up with.

I also agree with GW missing the opportunity of a civil war.  Getting smashed on all sides, now with added internal conflict… Even a few Chapters telling RG to bugger off would have been fun especially if it meant GW updating their Leman Russ model and the Wolves being stubborn!  I like that idea!

@limburger yeah, I take your point. And apparently Microsoft & Sony have entered into a partnership that looks to involve crossplatform tech in some form. And I gotta admit, as much as I miss not having played any of the console exclusives from the last decade or so (glorious PC Gaming Master Race yo) I can live without stuff like dropping beaucoup bucks for a console and then they release a tweaked, “better” version a year or two later that costs even more but walls off the full experience if you don;t get it. at least if my PC isn’t at max spec for a game I have options (if I even want to upgrade parts).

And I suspect they are holding off on any sort of Imperial Civil War until they get a new Loyalist Primarch out. Odds on if/when they do Russ or The Lion that’s when it’ll all kick off

@mage me too. Everytime I go bargain game shopping I’m coming away empty handed. I was so very looking forward to the new Fallout but I’m disgusted it’s some online multiplayer tosh. I quite like painting metallics. What’s wrong with Salamanders and Astral Claws? Screw what other people think.

@tuffyears they look amazing and nice work on obtaining the army board. Good luck getting it working.

@dawfydd you never fail to amaze me dude. Have you thought about one of those trays for a paint station? Uses the space you are already using. Just a thought.

Managed to squeeze in some more painting but no pictures. Also listened to the new Rammstein album thanks for the heads up.

I think there will be a lot of weird shenanigans involving Cypher and others before The Lion returns.  I can’t wait to see the Russ model, they did name a tank in his honour after all, plus they really need to include his doggos 🙂

@robert I mean if  they did a Lion vs Luther 2 pack or a DA vs Fallen boxed set I’d be down the for that (but then I’m the mad ******* that wants to try and make use of the Lion vs Wolf strategem, so what do I know…)

Had these a little while. Desided to do an experiment painting them with floor polish wash. They are a bit shiny but a matt coat will solve the problem.

Gonna bed. Had a friend up after work to play Fire Emblem Dynasty Warriors on the Switch. Chatted for a while too about stuff. Then saw John Wick 3.

Got bored last night and built a new Sergeant. Heavy Hellblasters this time. I have 4 more to build and then that is me all caught up with my Primaris chaps. I’ve gotten all of my Custodes built, too, so after this I either build more Bolt Action or actually get some paint on my half done Intercessor Squad in my cabinet…
