Humpnight Hobby Hangout – a good idea?

So last night on The Hobby Hangout I was ‘thinking’ loud about using the OTT discord to have some sort of actual hangout whilst doing hobby. Free for anybody to join and not being broadcasted.

We could use the voice channel “CoG Hobby Hall” on the OTT discord and just sit and paint and have a chat.

Testing of tech and all withstanding I’d like to suggest to start that HHH on Wednesdays at 7pm BST (20:00 German time)

Who’s up for it? Who has ideas? Difference in opinion? Let’s hear it!

If my brain doesn’t go full sleepy on me I might even try to start a chat tonight otherwise next week!

I might listen in and post in the comments. I’m not sure about joining in with voice, but who knows.

Nah, that’s optional though “cleaning your hobby desk” or “writing army lists” would also count as “doing hobby” IMHO.

I could probably take part – all the way from Canada, eh! I would likely be a late joiner as I have standing guitar lessons from 1300-1400 MST.

Love this idea it reminds me of a weekly get together our group used to do where some painted and others gamed and it was fun over all. Got my most work done during that time. I’ll participate as I can as I’m in the US so will be later to the gathering.

This is a good idea.  This is also the evening that our RPG group plays Traveller so I’ll be in a distant galaxy until 9pm UK time but I’ll try and tootle along after that if you folks are still there.

So we (James, Panzerkaput, Nick and I) had a nice chat and did some hobbying. (At least James and I did, can’t speak for the other two blokes.) I had to call it an early night but the three lads continued way pass my time.

Maybe join us next week, when we hit the mics again.
