Limbers for 17th century artillery – are they worth it?  In  my latest blog post I make the case for adding some limbers to your 17th century artillery train.  I have had these on the to-do list for some time, but they have, perhaps unfairly, kept slipping down the priorities.

I have now completed limbers from Warlord Games and from Wargames Foundry.  The Warlord Games set is a recent release for their Pike and Shotte range.  The Foundry is a much older set.

There was a lot more modelling to do than in regular foot or cavalry units.  I found it a bit fiddly to put together the tack etc. required to hitch up the horses to the limber.  I was pleased with how they ended up, and I think they look like it is all linked together.
