Played a game of MERCS using the 2.5 rules, Keizai Waza vs EIC in a couple of learning games, 3 vs 3. First scenario was just interact with an objective and rush off the board. Second one was the first scenario Shadow Dragon.
In the first one I lost two MERCS but won  by running off he table with the objective. In the second one I shot the VTOL before it could take off. I lost all my team members but the VTOL burned up the tech before my opponent could retrieve it so I won on OP. As the missions are objective based, it doesn’t matter how many MERCS you lose.

Our first two games were fast and brutal and required a bit of looking things up but definitely fun.

Noteworthy moments included popping smoke to mask movement, going on Overwatch to cover avenues of approach

In the photos, the card stock terrain and map are from Battle Systems.  Scatter is terrain is mostly Fallout from Modiphious.

A couple of days later I did a couple of demo games with a new player. This time CCC Yellow Jackets vs EIC. Notable features of the two games showed how powerful Overwatch is and an epic moment where my melee specialist ran into a shotgun blast and died but not before stabbing the shotgunner and taking him out too.

Thanks for posting. How’d you find the changes to initiative? May not have been as much of a factor in 3v3, but I always liked the old way of roll for each model coupled with bounding.

@donimator we did also play some 5 vs 5 games. But I think I prefer the latest version of initiative. It gives you more control and makes you think in a more tactical manner about order of operations.
I also think that getting rid of bounding combined with the ability to Sprint and everyone being able to Blitz and Assault makes the game more fluid and less of a straight up gun fight.
