Erm… there is not any information about a kickstarter insofar as I can see. Are you sure that is the correct link?

To be fair, there is no mention of a new kickstarter (yet).

However, Reaper says that the fourth Bones kickstarter is on track for to begin delivery this Febuary. It is a no-brainer that they will be announcing a fifth Bones KS in short order…

They have stated that all the expansions and many of the addons from Bones 4 will be delivered in the new “Black” (which is actually dark grey) material.  I expect they came up with this after the main pledge assortment had been produced, or all of them would have been in this new material.

IF what they say here is true, this will mean a significant step forward for Bones as far as the quality of the material is concerned.

I certainly am looking forward to this, and I hope this means that human-sized Bones will get a better detail level than before and that is is not just hype.

I do expect there will be a new campaign in 2019 though, but historically they haven’t announced new campaigns whilst delivery for one ones are still outstanding… Hopefully the next one is quicker than Bones IV.

I’ve bought quite a bit of the Bones here and there so the announcement is just a formal one that the range will be moving to that material. The last time I looked about its the same stuff as has been used for their CAV line instead of metal. It does hold the details well and would be an upgrade above the current stock of what I guess is nylon. I think that the stuff in question is probably a blend of ABS in comparing it to material I’ve gotten from Plastruct and Evergreen Plastics to scratchbuild with.

I’d say that the molds would be a hell of a lot longer lived with the lower temp required and the likely wear from pulling them apart. The material also appears to be less prone to the god awful warping that has been the bane of my mini buying from that line. I’ve switched to resin and some other metal figures because of the quality issue. I love the prices but you pay for the level of product. I hope that they get this off the ground as their dream was to bring minis to the prices of almost two decades ago before the x3 leap in tin cost.
