    I am building a wooden fort for feudal Japan and the look I am trying to achieve is the charred wood look that was commen for the period. The charring would help creep the wood fire resistant and when this was done for homes it would also help as a insect repellent

    75566ECA-D77F-41DD-8A88-EE87FE3512A9I muted down the the bright craft stick after I distressed the gate house by making a stain wash .
    Trust me it was to bright for the table top but the camera made it look ok.
    Next I will add some green to where the boards meet the earth.

    Did some landscaping nothing serious just some turf and tufts .
