Its only barely late to mark the beginning of Snag-a-normie month but its not too late to celebrate and bring in your nearest and dearest non-hobby/gaming friends into our fold to join the ranks for fun and frivolity. This is the time of year we might push out from under the weather and, depending on how The Event has affected your neighborhood, get involved with other people to be social in some manner. The realities of the world are harsh on our social collective from mandates but there are means of still attempting to expose people to the wonder of what we can and, sometimes actually, do. If you don’t necessarily have uninitiated people to play with or can’t figure out where the Normies exist outside our FLGSs as gamers we can figure out the best path to find them. This is, afterall, what we do in spoiling the best laid campaign ideas for GMs from the beginning of RPGs. Put our brains to lifting the spirits of bored people with things to do that might entertain/distract from the tedium of life interrupted.

I charge you one and all with finding at least one person and, in a non-zealous manner, introducing them to the idea of gaming in a non digital manner (or maybe even digital if you want to try the route of Tabletop Simulator). Good luck and God Cheese!

So we’re not supposed to kidnap them, tie them to a chair and make them play games ?

I think I may have to redecorate the basement now …  and all that food needs donating too.

    😉

Redecorate? Here I thought your reason for the shackles, manacles and other bits of furniture in the “dungeon” was for “atmosphere”? Perhaps both our senses of aesthetics wnd interior design are off. Either that or we are .. likely the latter considering *shrug*.

As far as food donations I don’t know how much Mt. Dew and Doritos can legally be accepted let alone morally as it’d be a crime against the hungry to induce diabetes unless you were fattening them up for Soylent Green purposes.
